The tower is an inverted funnel and stands over 70 feet tall, with a staircase spiraling around its exterior. This is one of two funnel-shaped grain stores built by the same family shortly after the Irish Famine of 1740-1741 — the second, the Bottle Tower of Churchtown in Dublin, was a replica of the Wonderful Barn.:
